NetGift Management

Ed Fadel, Chief Executive Officer
Ed Fadel was one of the founders of NetGift in 1998 and continues to provide the company with its long-range vision of being the industry standard for gift registries on the Internet. Though only 37, Ed has already achieved a long history of successes in creating and running businesses. In 1987, Ed founded CD Superstore with partner Paul Mayer and the company quickly grew to over $35 million in sales with over 300 employees. In 1994, CD Superstore was sold for $17.5 million to Borders Group, at the time a subsidiary of K-Mart and now the $2 billion parent company of Waldenbooks and Borders Books. Ed operated the company for over a year as one of three divisions of Borders Group, experiencing the IPO process and the operations of a public company.

In 1998, Ed and Paul Mayer founded Fusion Ventures, a seed-stage venture capital fund and full services business incubator. Fusion Ventures provided seed money for NetGift and helped recruit other investors, as well as providing valuable services to get the company started.
