Jeff Williams, Chief Executive Officer
Co-founder, VP Marketing, Sales and Business Development, HealthMatics, a
140-person software development and marketing firm delivering wireless
handheld software applications and related data products/services to
healthcare industry. Prior 13 years in various consumer and professional
marketing and business development positions within GlaxoWellcome and
Novartis. Holds a BS degree in chemistry.
Dr. Bruce Hitson, CTO
An experienced entrepreneur and businessman, has founded or helped grow
successful technology-intensive companies in Internet e-commerce, Internet
derivatives trading, computer integrated telephony, call center
applications, and statistical data mining/warehousing. Hitson's expertise
and passions are defining and managing new business and technology
initiatives that allow order-of-magnitude changes in the way businesses
operate and profit. As chief of technology for Teknekron Infoswitch, he
started a computer telephony integration business unit that achieved
multi-million dollar sales in its first year of operations. At Integral, he
introduced Internet technology to the financial derivatives industry, a key
strategic component in carving out both a technical and marketing niche for
an upcoming IPO. At EIT he created the initial plan for electronic commerce
that took them from an R&D start-up to a $28 million acquisition. Holds a
doctoral degree from Stanford University based on a dissertation
"Knowledge-Based Monitoring and Control of Distributed Systems." As part of
this work he conceived, built, and analyzed a practical expert system for
diagnosing protocol-level problems in a distributed collection of TCP/IP
networks. He also holds several patents in areas related to computer
integrated telephony.
Sam Kimball, Vice President, Business Development, Record Labels
Music industry veteran of 12 years. Most recently, National Sales Manager in
the Special Products division at BMG Entertainment. Responsibilities
included developing new business opportunities with companies such as Banana
Republic and Entertainment Weekly. Extensive interaction with the major and
independent labels. Prior to BMG, Director of Sales and Marketing at Elias
Associates, a national commercial music production company. From 1988 to
1995 Sam ran his own company, SKS, a talent booking agency and recording
studio. He built an organization consisting of 8 employees and more than 50
regular musicians. Business highlights included The 1994 Grammy Awards and
The 1989 International Emmy Awards. Graduate of Yale University and the MBA
Program at NYU Stern School of Business.
Phil Blizzard, Vice President, Business Development, Devices and Portals
Former manager with Ford Motor Company with a decade of business planning,
product development and strategic planning experience. Successfully
negotiated numerous strategic alliances with major multi-national
corporations including joint ventures and technology licenses. Holds a BS
in engineering and an MBA from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana.
Tom Bonfield, Vice President, Business Development, Broadband, Portals
Former Manager of Business Development at IBM where he focused on forging
partnerships with Portals and other web companies. Has 7 years in various
marketing, sales, and business development positions within Red Hat, Inc.
and for Macmillan Computer Publishing, a division of Viacom. Holds a BA
from Hampden-Sydney College and an MBA from the University of Kentucky.
